Addition lessons for grades 1–3
Mathwell's addition lessons start with single-digit sums and build up to adding three-digit numbers up to 999. Children work in columns, ones first, and learn when and how to carry into the tens and hundreds. Every problem is read aloud. When a child is stuck, Mathwell offers a hint, such as a number line or a counting picture, instead of the answer. There are 20 levels, and each one unlocks the next.
