Fraction lessons for grades 2–4
Children learn fractions by sharing cookies fairly between friends, cutting them into 2, 3 or 4 pieces. A short guided lesson comes first. Then 20 practice levels move from halves to thirds and fourths, judging whether a share is fair, naming a shaded fraction, and mixed numbers such as 2 1/4. Every problem is read aloud, and a child who is stuck gets a hint instead of the answer.
